OWH Memorial Day Bloghop

Welcome!  Thank you for joining in on the Annual Memorial Day Bloghop with Operation Write Home!  It is my honor today to thank the families of our nation's fallen heroes and remember the many lives that have been given to ensure freedom not only in America but around the world.

My card features the Doodle Pantry Patriotic Eagle set, pre-colored version used here, including the background paper.  I accented the eye with Glossy Accents and used black card stock and a regular whole punch and Glossy Accents for the faux brads.

The sketch I used, very loosely I admit, was #74.  I obviously flipped it horizontally and changed the circle to a square because it seemed to fit my image better.

Thank you for hopping by and I hope that you enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend - and do something special to honor our fallen heroes.

  1. Such a majestic Eagle! This makes a perfect Any Hero card and I suspect a male hero would like to write a thank you note to someone on it too since it's quite masculine. Nice job Lisa! I am sorry about the post mishap but glad you shared your link on FB so I could stop by an say hello. :)

    1. Thank you Paula! I can always count on you for words of encouragement, thanks for that. I think this card is pretty masculine too and will probably put it in my OWH box for a guy to use. However, the other patterned paper that comes with this set is a beautiful blue color that I think will be more cheerful for Any Hero cards.

    1. I know, it's funny isn't it? And I always make sure to mention that when the image is pre-colored, too. I knew what image I wanted to use but really struggled with finding a sketch for some strange reason. Thanks for saying 'hi!'
