Welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. It has been way too long (several weeks) since I have posted anything new to my blog - although I have been putting some of my creations up on the Operation Write Home Facebook fan page from time to time.
Here is this week's sketch, #73, over at the Stars & Stamps blog:
Honestly, my first thought was "oh no, an angled cut" but it wasn't really any big deal once I thought it through. My tip: Cut the cardsock to 4.25" x 3.5" then make a mark at 2" on one side, draw a line between the opposite corner and the 2" mark and cut along that line.
Here is my card:
I used my Cuttlebug and the HB embossing folder and the rest was from my *gasp* scrap pile. Really - I had these papers all out on my workspace from another project (which was actually the last Sketch challenge I posted now that I think about it!) and since I love the colors I just went with it. The flower was punched with an SU punch and I coated it with Glossy Accents. The colored paper was part of the gifted 12 x 12 sheets from a co-worker. The sentiment is from a recently acquired Penny Black stamp set.
Just for fun I will show you the other card I made using these same scraps. I posted it on FB so if you have already seen it just pretend that you didn't and oohh and ahhh anyway, ok? :)
Happy Stamping and God Bless!
WOW...what great colors you used on these, really bright and fun. Way to go on the scraps too ;)
