S & S Sketch #1 and Midweek Throwdown Challenge #109 (Color)

Today's card is another post for my 2012 challenge to make a card using all of the S & S Sketches.  I used Sketch #1 and combined it with the Midweek Throwdown #109 Color Challenge - to use kraft, blue, and green.  I was completely surprised with how quickly this card came together when I approached it from the "I have a sketch and 3 colors to use" angle.  It was a bit like calling out to my mojo "heeeere kitty....mommy has a treat for you!"  If you have never tried cardmaking from this angle I highly encourage you to give it a go...it's fun!

Built from this sketch:

I used all Stampin' Up! products including Night of Navy, Kraft, and Mellow Moss cardstock.  I know...I know...Mellow Moss was discontinued years ago....so I am a hoarder, ok?  LOL  I also used my Cuttlebug to dry emboss the NoN cardstock and added some silver brads.  The flowers are from an SU! set called "Close as a Memory."

If you are interested in joining in this "Use every S & S Sketch in 2012" challenge with me please be sure to let me know so I can visit your blog too!  The link to the sketches and a handy chart are on the S & S Sketches page.

Happy Stamping and God Bless You,

Lisa

S & S Sketch #69

At the start of 2012 a challenge was put out there by a wonderful fellow OWH stamper, Kathryn I believe, to make a card using every S & S Sketch during 2012.  She even provided a doc to make keeping track of each sketch used easily (links provided at the end of this post.)  I think it is a wonderful idea and have embraced the challenge - even if I am getting a "late" start I am still going to go for it!  So, here is my first post with this challenge as my focus.

My first card is a total case of a card shared by Pam Tetreault - thanks Pam for helping me rediscover my mojo after being MIA for so long!

If this challenge interests you too then here are the quick links to the S & S Sketches 1-100 and the chart doc.  A special thanks to the wonderful ladies that have put these documents together for us - you know who you are!

Stay tuned...I plan to keep posting on a much more regular basis with lots of S & S Sketches.

Happy Stamping!

Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 20

Here is another sweet image by Doodle Pantry - a pre-colored image (which I LOVE to use, as you know!)  The image is included with the digital set called Little Frog and is perfect for our Operation Write Home cards!  I love Doodle Pantry pre-colored digital sets because they include background papers that match the images perfectly - making it so easy to put a card together.

The cardstock and grossgrain ribbon are all Stampin' Up! - Tempting Turquoise and Cameo Coral.

I am posting this card to the Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles Blog for DPDC20 and by doing so I will receive a FREE digial set called Cocoa Cup Ants and it is sooooo cute!  There is still time for YOU to play along, too!  The entry deadline is February 24th at 8 p.m. and the only requirement is to use a Doodle Pantry image - they even offer several great images FREE to get you started!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!
