Welcome fellow OWH cardmakers! This is our 2nd Virtual Cardmaking Party and we are off to a great start! I absolutely loved the first party and am honored to present this challenge today.
Fall is quickly approaching and in our family it is a time to CELEBRATE NATURE. As the days become cooler the leaves begin to change, the air smells sweet, and the Michigan apples are ripe for the picking! One of our favorite traditions is a trip to the apple orchard for fresh cider and warm donuts. How does your family CELEBRATE NATURE at this time of year? Show me in a card, then tell me about it in the comment section!
For this challenge we will be creating cards that use some element of nature as the focal point. This could be leaves, flowers, scenery, or any other image that evokes a fondness for the beauty that surrounds us out of doors. To get your mojo flowing I have prepared two very different cards.
Post Script: This second card was totally a CASE from this card by Kate. Thank you, Kate, for the inspiration and I'm sorry I inadvertently missed giving you credit.
Now it's YOUR turn! Go create a card for our heroes CELEBRATING NATURE then take a photo and post it here. I'll stop by your blog and leave you some love and encouragement!
Happy Stamping!
Oopsie! Mr Linky is having issues so go to Stars and Stamps and link your cards.-

Your cards are wonderful. As soon as I heard the name of your challenge I knew I had a deer digi that I was going to use. Then I scrolled down to look at your cards and saw you had the same idea! Oh well - I am sure our cards will be very different. Thanks for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteLove your cards! They are just beautiful.
It's also great that your cards are male-friendly. Adding more male cards to my OWH boxes has been a definite goal of mine this year!
Thanks so much for hosting a stop for the VCMP!
These are wonderful cards! I love how they are simple and very well done. Thank you for hosting a challenge for S&S VCMP! LynnR

Your cards are so pretty! I love the theme..waiting for some time this afternoon to actually work on the cards!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the elk stamp.. lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are both so beautiful and artfully done. I love wild animal images myself and of course, any type of foliage is great to represent nature as well. A nature theme has lots of great possibilities.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Lisa! I'm hoping to play along and though summer Is truly my favorite season and there is beauty in nature all year-round, I have to admit that Fall in New England is spectacular! A long weekend drive, with the car top down to enjoy the changing of the trees is something special.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. I had to laugh out loud when I read the line about donuts and cider, we love to do that to. Thanks for a great challenge.
ReplyDeleteBoth your cards are super! Love the colors and images! TFS!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards...I have that Upsy Daisy stamp and have never used it...need to ink it up! Hubby loves to fish, I just enjoy the gorgeous leaves changing colors.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! I like how you used the same stamp with two different colors on the flower card.
ReplyDeleteHah! That deer card looks suspiciously familiar. :) This is my first time being on the other end of a CASE when I didn't CASE the card in the first place. Freaked me out a little! :)
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so elegant! There are a few stamps I can use to join this challenge, so I need to get busy!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards! Posting mine to the OWH site.

ReplyDeleteI have that deer stamp so I will probably use that stamp too
Very pretty cards! I really love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are always so clean and elegant - love the buck
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your examples, especially that buck. What a wonderful outdoorsy card! I love this time of year, especially when the autumn colors start to come out. It's my favorite time of year by far. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Autumn. It is my favorite season. Love walking in the woods, smelling the leaves and berries. Also love Thanksgiving Day. So I combined the two in my card. Thanks for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards, Lisa!! Love them!!
ReplyDeleteLove your use of stamps on your cards. Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteKayaking is a favorite at this time of year, but I don't think it's going to translate into my card, sorry! I might just stick with some leaves or florals.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! Thank you for hosting such a great challenge.
ReplyDeleteYour floral card inspired me to try silhouetted images for my card. Thanks for a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteI have the flowers SU stamp and love it. I enjoy seeing what others have done with it so thank you for the inspirations....I have seen those colors together using the SU.
